Championship golf course

Rye Hill Golf Club is a traditional parkland course, with heath land features and panoramic views. As a EuroPro Tour venue, it is testimony to the high calibre of this championship 6,900 yd par 72 course.

Benefiting from free drainage, the course is playable in the wettest of weather and trolleys can be used all year. It will test the abilities of both high and low handicappers with its strategically placed bunkers to catch wayward shots and the often large and undulated greens.

No houses or suburban developments can be seen from any point on the course, only the picturesque church at Bloxham coming into view on a few holes. The rest is left to the rolling countryside, wildlife and lakes. Set on high ground with magnificent views across Oxfordshire, the course is a hidden haven.

The new shorter Blue golf course

For those of you who haven't got the time or energy to play our fantastic 6,900 yd par 72 course, we have recently introduced a shorter 5,900 yard 18 hole course played from our Blue T's.

The Golf Academy @ Rye Hill

At Rye Hill, we pride ourselves on expert tuition, be it for fellow professionals, low handicap county players, mid handicap club members, juniors and beginners. Whatever the standard or aspiration, we believe everybody has the potential to improve.

During the season there may be times when you encounter difficulty in different areas of your golf game. It could be driving, putting, long irons, bunker play or pitching. Our resident PGA professional Tony Pennock can assure that a rapid improvement can be made with simple to understand methods, tailor made for the individual or groups.

Tony Pennock, PGA Professional

Tony Pennock, a previous European Tour player and Suffolk Pros Stokeplay and Matchplay champion has a wealth of experience. Competing at the very highest level has meant contact with some of the golfing greats including Nick Faldo and Gary Player. His claim to fame, though, would be beating Ian Woosnam in the Midland Matchplay Championship!

His teaching skills have been linked with Julie Hall (British Ladies’ Amateur Champion and most capped Curtis Cup Player) and he has also paved the way for the development of junior golf in Suffolk and Oxfordshire.

Tony’s expertise is available to you with everything from advice on equipment to individual lessons from £25.00.

Junior Course @ Rye Hill

Children and families come and have fun at the newly opened course, Junior Course @ Rye Hill.

Golf practice area

A 240 yd grassed area to warm up prior to your round. You require your own practice balls for this facility. You are welcome to try out demo drivers and irons from the extensive range in the pro shop before you buy.

Coarse fishing lake

For those that would prefer a bite to a birdie, our well stocked lake, just behind the 15th green, offers a tranquil setting to coarse fish.
